describe:
Metabolism boosters do not work properly in the base game version. Only works if Geralt is poisonous enough to drink the selected potion, so drinking an extra potion will do nothing. Additionally, whenever triggered, it successfully reduces the potion's toxicity without consuming any adrenaline. So it can quickly become too powerful.
How it works:
This patch makes the perk work as expected. If you have enough toxicity, it does nothing. But like the perk that lets you cast a token with AP when you need it, this can reduce toxicity when you need it. So if you're maxed out, it will use AP to reduce the toxicity and let you drink the potion anyway.
If they are enough to reduce the potion's toxicity to a level that allows you to drink it, it will always drain all of your current AP. But if one is enough but you have 3 AP, it will consume all three and reduce the potion's toxicity to 0.
It should now be properly balanced as you can still maximize the toxicity before using it. Therefore, you will still poison Geralt unless you have countered your resistance. Additionally, it takes time to build up AP again, so drinking unlimited potions is no easy task even with a dedicated adrenaline build.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
