About this mod Machine translation
Added outlines to all map markers on the world map, as well as the minimap for better visibility.
This module adds outlines of all map markers that are very rare for both world and minimaps. This improves their visibility and makes their design more consistent.
Install:
Download the zip file and extract modMapMarkerOutlines to the Witcher3/Mods directory.
uninstall:
Remove modMapMarkerOutlines from Witcher3/Mods directory.
Not compatible with:
This mod is incompatible with any mod that changes ._worldmap.redswf and/or hud_minimap.redswf, as these files cannot be easily merged. However, I'm only aware of two mods that change these:
Colored map markers by DJ_Kovrik (does nothing here)
All mission objectives on the map by Wolfmark (standard and full version only! Compressibility fix, see below)
If you know of other mods please let me know and I will add them to the list.
All query targets on map compatibility:
In the Downloads section you will find a version of this mod that is compatible with Wolfmark's "All Mission Objectives on the Map". This is only necessary for the standard and complete version of his mold. If you use this version of the mod, download the original compatible version INSTEAD.
Install:
Download the compatible zip file and extract modMapMarkerOutlines to the Witcher3/Mods directory just like the normal version. If you know how mod priority works, make sure this mod has higher priority than the Quest Objectives mod. If you don't know what I'm talking about, don't worry, in 99.99% of cases you don't need to do anything.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
