About this mod Machine translation
Geralt's speed is now tied to his armor, in addition to this, he is much faster in light armor than in the original game, and the protection provided by the armor has also changed. For patch 1.22.
Update 1.2:
- Added option to override the currently used armor type, so the game will see it as light/medium/heavy armor. Disabled by default and can be set in options.
-Armor type no longer changes in files, so blood and wine are not required.
- Added function to load default options on first launch, so manually adding values to the user is no longer necessary.
(Only loaded once after loading save/launching new game but before adjusting options)
-Animation speed is now based on all armor parts. By default, widgets affect speed as follows:
Main armor part 50%
30% off pants
Gloves 10%
Boots 10%
For example, when you set your fast attack speed against heavy armor to -50%, your fast attack speed against light armor to -50%, your fast attack speed against heavy armor bras and pants to -50%, and your fast attack speed against light gloves and boots to:
50%*(-50)+30%*(-50)+10%*50+10%+50=-30%
There are also two presets that you can set options for, one just changes it slightly so the main armor part has 55% modification and the pants 25%. The third preset is 25% of each armor section.
- Fnts include next version, next version changes:
- Adjusted the way armor resistance changes. Now it's not a measure of the resistance itself, but the damage taken, so 1-resistance. Positive values reduce damage taken, negative values increase damage taken, so there is no meaningful recovery in the configuration. This way, resistance values become better when there are significant differences between specific damage resistances of the same armor. Furthermore, it is impossible to achieve 100% damage resistance.
- Reducing dodge speed now also affects overall dodge efficiency. This is because only slow animations don't create any hindrance, which should happen with heavy armor that increases resistance. Reduced dodge efficiency includes: dodges require better angles, dodges have a chance to fail, longer range is required for some attack types like Stampede or Giant's Anchor, and Fleet Foot skills have lower damage reduction. All of this is proportional to the avoidance nerf setting. With this version of MD, it is not recommended to use dodge weakening higher than -25% (default is -15% for heavy armor). The scroll value should be close to dodge when negative, but unfortunately, there are some scroll animations that misbehave when slowing down too much (vanilla raw so it affects the main version too), so values below -12% are not recommended.
- Small fixes to animation factor logic.
- Adjusted default configuration values (now slightly changed by major version 1.3). Medium armor default resets to vanilla default, so all 0. It's up to you if you want to make medium armor more like light armor, faster and less resistant, or like heavy armor, faster and more resistant. If switching from the base version of this mod to the "Next" version, readjust the configuration as old values will cause different behavior as the logic changes.
- Bugfix - Fist combat is now unaffected by armor speed settings. In current mod logic, boxing techniques are quite fragile, making boxing difficult or easy.
-The animation speed change method changes slightly, so -25% dodge/rolling effect will be better.
- Speed nerf/buff min/max values are limited to prevent unrealistic animations and other issues.
-Default speed changed from Next to a slightly changed version. Current default:
Heavy Armor:
-Attack speed -20%
-Strike speed-15%
-Spin speed -25%
-Dodge speed -15%
-Scroll speed -12%
China League One:
- set all to +0 (so just like vanilla)
Light Armor:
-Fast attack speed +10%
-Strong attack speed +10%
-Rotation speed +15%
-Dodge speed +20%
-Scroll speed +25%
Armor Resistance:
-Heavy Armor +25%
-Medium armor default (+0%)
-Light Armor-30%

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
