About this mod Machine translation

Less Hardcore Witcher 3 enhanced (for my taste). Contains bug fixes, overhaul and changed logic to make the game more enjoyable. Includes crossbow overhauls, decoction logic changes, poison rule changes, armor/balance logic overhauls, spin/tear balance, Aard and Axii overhauls, less hardcore food, and more.

This MOD is a publication of my own taste of The Witcher 3 Enhanced Edition. So obviously the credit goes to the god of modding, the mighty Riperz and the author of all the mods he uses. The goal is to make W3EE less hardcore and more suitable for non-super hardcore gamers. Also contains bug fixes.

Usually most of the balance changes are done at night. I will promote things that I feel are underpowered. This may need to be balanced, so some things are weakened. This module should be continuously developed.

Installation instructions:

Properly install original W3EE

Delete the entire folder [Witcher3_.]ModsmodW3EEcontentscripts

Copy "modLHW3EE" from this mod archive to [Witcher3_.]\Mods

Set appropriate mod priorities. Go to [Windows Documents Folder]Witcher 3

Create a file called "mods.settings", open it in any text editor and paste*:

[modLHW3EE]

Enabled=1

Priority=0

*If you already have that file, you must make sure this mod has higher priority than W3EE. Priority can be 0-9999. Mods have a lower priority. Modules with no priority set in that file will be loaded last in alphabetical order. This mod overrides some of W3EE's *.xml assets, which is why it must have higher priority. All other files will be taken from W3EE so there won't be any corruption. For example, here's what my files look like (merging isn't officially supported, but I've successfully run W3EE with a few other mods):

[mod0000_MergedFiles]

Enabled=1

Priority=0

[modLHW3EE]

Enabled=1

Priority=1

This just means that the merged script file should come first, then this mod for *.xml files, then all other files including W3EE.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
