Hearts of Stone adds magic and facilitates it through the use of runes (weapons) and glyphs (armor). If you cast an enchantment on any wizard-set gear, but then upgrade the gear to a higher level, the enchantment will be destroyed in the process of releasing the slot.

Install
Copy the "modKeepRunewords" folder to the "Mods" folder in the Witcher 3 installation directory.
To uninstall, delete the "modKeepRunewords" folder from the "Mods" folder.
