Reworked starting armor, fixed color errors caused by textures, grainy leg textures

This mod does two things:

It restores the starting armor to its original texture (pre-BaW dye system)

Fixed low-resolution confusion with original leg textures.

Let's talk about dye systems. It is generally considered very inferior. Detail is lost, colors change or become unnaturally vibrant, and the Viper setting in particular has texture flaws (blue lines). While the idea was noble, the execution was a mistake.

While the Viper armor's leg textures have become more consistent with what we saw in pre-release. The vanilla texture is very understated. New dyeable textures make stitching look higher quality and eliminate grainy, colorful noise (check out the comparison pictures to see what I'm talking about).

So this leather keeps the leather on the pants a vanilla texture and gives the fabric a blood and wine texture. The result is an overall texture that looks higher quality, and the fabric is still dyeable (mostly just a side effect, but the more neutral dyes actually look pretty good).

As far as I know, this is the first custom texture that doesn't completely break the dye system.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

If you are using a mod that restores all wizard armor to its original textures (such as this mod), my mod needs to be loaded first. Make sure this is the case by making my mod appear alphabetically before other armor texture mods in your mods folder.

This may also break the HoS Viper suit. This can be fixed with a mod that restores its original textures.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
