JACL - just another controller setting

Other gamepad setups were inspired by the hard work of Zaryth and Yoshimitsuyamada.

This is just another controller setup for The Witcher 3 (jacl in a nutshell).

After playing for 15 hours with the not-so-good button controls, I considered changing them.

Since the game is fairly new, there are only two other suitable control layouts.

Frankly, they encouraged me to do it myself because none of them were 100% suitable for me.

Make no mistake, I wouldn't have uploaded my first "mod" if they hadn't inspired me! Both Zaryth and Yoshimitsuyamada were very supportive and answered about 100 of my questions, a big thank you to both of them!

What I did was change how I liked the controls.

What drives me to do this?

Well, for one thing, I've never really played Dark Souls, so Yoshimitsu's layout isn't the most intuitive to me (no offense).

Zaryth on the other hand did a pretty stock control with slightly darker soul influences, so say a crossover.

I'm not trying to preserve anything like a specific game. I just want to be consistent.

Of course, my layout won't be that different in other ways, so there isn't much of a way to lay out a few buttons.

For example, it was superior at galloping, so I kept it and used it for sprinting, fast swimming, and accelerating sailing.

TL;Dr: Assimilated most of Zaryth and Yoshimitsu's configuration elements and built my own.

Compatibility:

This will definitely work with an Xbox (One) controller, and a PlayStation controller should work as well, although I haven't tested it yet. Since you're using them to emulate an Xbox controller, there shouldn't be compatibility issues.

• Extract the contents of the compressed folder to:

C:\users\username\documents\witcher 3

• Override when prompted
• If you are not prompted to overwrite existing files, you have made a mistake.
