About this mod Machine translation

This mod contains some custom changes for a better combat enhancing mod. BCE was created by Lautreamont (Amoran). I'm not the author of BCE, it's just a submodel.

There are two versions of this submodel.

One of them only consists of XML changes to the decoy, a few skills (these two are direct modifications to the BCE file) and a thorough inspection of the oil.

The main version includes the First+I add-on mods, namely the Flag Scaling Module with the Kun Overhaul (100 Strength Version) and the Ignore Pain Overhaul.

For more information on my other mods, please visit Ignore Pain Overhaul, Oil Overhaul, Quen Overhaul, Flag Scaling Mod.

So what do these XML changes actually do?

Decoctions: The effectiveness of most decoctions (mainly DMG and healing-related DECs) has been increased by 200-250%. So now their effectiveness:cost ratio is comparable to that of potions.

Skills: Symbol Strength skills increased from 40% to 100%, so now they are really worth learning.

rend-its adrenaline bonus damage was increased from 10% to 50%, this was necessary because one of the game patches broke the custom bonus dmg this skill originally had in BCE.

Kun Explosive Shield now does more base DMG.

Steady Shot has been increased from 50% to 1000%, and now it actually deals the equivalent damage to your crossbow as Rapid Strike.

Focus now gives 50% signal strength per adrenaline point, instead of 10%, which is completely unattractive and useless.

Raging Flood now gives you +20% signal strength instead of +6% per level.

It is recommended to use bce mod to play this sub-mode. Playing this with vanilla flavor may throw off the balance of your game.

Install this mod using mod installer or unzip the file and move it to the witcher 3 mods folder.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
