About this mod Machine translation
Made Skellige's ocean so cold that it affected Geralt's vitality, and a potion was added to counter this effect.
icy ocean
- Preface:
Ever thought clearing all of Skellige's attractions was just a little too much fun? Ever wished this was more boring? Say no more - I got you, fam.
No, honestly, I know it doesn't make things any more interesting, but it's all about immersion, right? Having your ship ripped apart by a siren in the middle of the ocean should be dangerous, not just annoying and boring.
This mod currently only supports the English version of the game.
- What this mod does:
This mod causes cold water to drain Geralt's vitality at a rate of 1% per second. This effect is indicated by the frozen border HUD display.
To counteract this effect, Geralt can now use the Skua potion, which keeps him warm in icy water and increases frost resistance.
- How to install/uninstall:
Unzip icy_ocean.rar and copy all contents to your Witcher 3 home directory.
IMPORTANT: Please run a scripted merge to resolve possible conflicts.
To uninstall, simply delete the dlc__icy_ocean folder in the DLC folder and the mod IcyOcean folder in the mods folder.
- Debug console command:
If the debug console is enabled, you can add items directly to the manifest by opening it and typing: additem("itemID")
For example: additem("Skipe 1 Recipe")

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
