Content introduction:
The first ride after loading a save/instance will not apply the modified FoV value. This solved the problem.
To change the FoV, open horseRiding.ws and change the "camera.fov" value to the desired FoV (110 for mod, 60 for vanilla). Make sure no other horseRiding.ws files exist in your mods folder. This is primarily a modder resource as I haven't come across the fix before; all I did was add another "camera.fov" as vanilla only applies it on teardown.
Bonus Fix: Not sure how common this is but I had a bug where when I changed camera pitch on foot at 90 FoV, the world would disappear and reappear. It turns out that the values 89 and 91 are completely normal, the game just hates that specific number for some reason.

Install:
- Download the compressed package
- Unzip the file
- Copy the files to the game directory folder
- Run the game
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
