Update: Thanks to Aaron for showing off this mod on his new YouTube channel Teklife. Added link to video section. Looks great, Aaron!
Update: I've added the Cutscene lighting module as a requirement. You can use this model without it... but it won't look very good!
First off, all credit goes to Kurogiri for his original re-rendered harmonic color and contrast configurations, I've tried every configuration I could get my hands on looking for a more realistic, less cartoonish look, and his is the best I've found so far.
Having said that, I'm really curious to see what his base model would look like, with a slightly more saturated, slightly darker black level, and Bloom and HDR enabled.
So I started experimenting, and with Black Mist's generous permission, I decided to share the results with you all.
Unlike other configurations, I barely see any frame drops.
Note that I'm also using Cut Scene Lighting, another great mod that I highly recommend.
Please give this configuration a shot and post your impressions, good or bad!
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
