About this mod Machine translation
More abilities, brand new cards, legend-friendly and balanced decks, informative descriptions, restored textures, it's Gwent Plus Plus!
Main features
More Abilities: Add card abilities to more cards in fun new ways, making Gwent an even more exciting and strategic game.
New Cards: Brand new cards including Doppler Spy, Nekker Warrior and more!
Lore-Friendly: I used what I learned from hours of lore research to make each card's power and ability fit the lore as well as possible.
Balanced Deck: All 5 decks are balanced to create a more level playing field.
Informative Description: Card descriptions now explain potentially confusing card abilities. This feature is optional.
Restore Textures: Restores the missing textures of duplicate cards, real this time :P (does not work on cards you have already found)
Using the MOD (Please read this before asking questions)
Gwent Plus Plus adds some new cards and changes the cards available in the starting deck.
This means that if you want to use the mod in an existing save, you need to help GPP provide you with the correct cards.
Note: If you have already done one of these options, then you have updated to a newer version of GPP and you do not need to do this again as you should already have the correct card.
After installing the mod, choose option 1, 2 or 3 (only choose 1 option):
Option 1: Start a new game or add a new game
I recommend this option as it requires no extra work and sets everything up perfectly.
This is the only option to restore every texture, however, the other options will still restore some textures.
The only downside to this option is that you have to start a new game.
If you choose this option, do not purchase any cards from Yoana the Blacksmith, her cards are only available to those who choose option 2.
Option 2: Buy the lost card from the store
Yoana, the blacksmith at Crow's Perch, will sell you cards to add to your new starting deck. Because you are not starting a new game, you are still using the old starting cards.
Buy Kaedweni Ballista Expert from Yoana.
Buy Kaedweni Trebuchet Expert from Yoana.
Purchase the Siege Tower from Yoana.
Catapults: These are no longer sold in the store, but you may have purchased 1 or 2. Only buy Yoana's catapults until you have 2.
Ballistas: The vanilla game should give you 2, but it may have given you 1. If you only have 1 Ballista, buy Yoana's Ballista.
GPP moves some cards from the vanilla starting deck to the store. To stay true to the game, limit your use to 1 Sile, 1 Keira, 2 Trebuchets, 1 of each kaedweni Expert, and 3 Blue Stripes Commandos.
The disadvantage of this option is that you will have more cards than you think and not all textures will be restored.
Option 3: Use my function from the debug console
This option requires you to enable the debug console. I recommend using the Debug Console Enabler v1.22 mod.
After enabling the debug console, use the ~ key to open the console in the game and enter the following command: updategpp
This will basically update you to a new starting deck, adding and removing certain cards.
It will only remove 4 cards, which are now available in the store throughout the game (locations shown below).
The disadvantage of this option is that it requires a debug console and not all textures will be restored.
If you choose this option, do not purchase any cards from Yoana the Blacksmith, her cards are only available to those who choose option 2.
Use the "updategpp" command only once, immediately after installing the mod.
Mobile Card Locations: If you choose option 1 or 3, the only way to obtain these cards is to purchase them from the following stores. If you chose option 2, you probably already have some of these cards. Refer to the "limitations" I suggested in the Option 2 section.
Sile: Passionflower of Novigrad
Trebuchet #2: Passionflower in Novigrad
Keira: Merchant of Midcopse
Blue Stripes Commando #3: Baron Quartermaster of Crow's Perch

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
