About this mod Machine translation
This mod will allow you to use all the awesome W3EE features and mechanics like:
- Manual attack range modifier
- Attack bend
- Dynamically select counter type (via distance modifier + parry)
- Exit meditation freely
This also switches light and heavy attacks to Dark Souls like layouts (RB and RT), but it is necessary to use the range modifier, attack button, and right click at the same time to bend the attack.
The left and right button sword drawings and sheaths were removed to allow for instant projection of the buttons for the logo. If you want to draw the sword manually, you can use RT Combo + Guide (Steel)/Start (Silver)
All other functionality and interactions are retained. Due to the keybinding modifications made via input.settings editing, the button matches appear correctly on every interaction.
This is done via AntiMicro layout.
The entire layout and available combinations are visible in the attached image. It may take some getting used to the shifted controls, but it's worth it (and being able to bend attacks is a must)
Install:
- Backup your input.settings in C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\The Witcher 3
- Overwrite your input.settings with mine attached in the zip package
- Run AntiMicro and load Witcher 3 W3EE full controller support.gamecontroller in the antimicro folder
- enjoy
- If you are having trouble using the Xbox Guide because it has the Xbox Live Bar overlay turned on, then you may have to disable the Game Bar. It's important to use the Xbox Guide button in this controller layout because it works better than using the Back button combo.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
