Very simple mod with dark hair and bright beard.
If you're like me using 2xAA for HW (beacuse anything higher is often too heavy on the performance) you are probably annoyed that the aliasing of Geralt's hair is very noticable in strong white/yellow light, when the hair literally glow and become unnatractive. So I decided to do something about that and turned the hair brightness down a little bit (95% to 80%) and fixed the beard by the way so it has the same brightness as the hair (actually it's 70% now instead of original 66, 80% is too bright in strong yellow light like fireplaces etc.) and is no longer so dark.
If you're like me and using 2XAA as hardware (as anything higher performance tends to be too heavy), you might be annoyed that Geralt's hair alias is very noticeable with a strong white/yellow light, when the hair really glows and becomes untractable. So I decided to do something about it and tone down the hair brightness a bit (95% to 80%) and fix the beard as well so that the hair is the same brightness as the hair (it's actually 70% now instead of the original 66, 80% hair is too bright in strong yellow lights like a fireplace) and not so dark anymore.
I tried turning it down even more so the hair would resemble the color from W2, however it turned out too dark in some locations hence I chose this specific value.
I tried to tone it down a bit so that the hair would be like the W2 color, but in some places the hair was too dark so I chose this specific value.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
