The mod has been designed with realism in mind but in keeping with the spirit of actual play in the game, keeping tedious work to a minimum while trying to provide players with enticing and somewhat realistic gameplay. Among the mechanical and gameplay changes, it also comes with a ton of bug fixes that were much needed for the vanilla game as well as a massive options menu where most things can be tweaked to your liking.

first start

After installing all mod files to the correct location, launch the game. Before the game window appears, a window called "RED engine 3" will appear and say it is compiling the script.

If the game starts without errors, close it and start it again. Be sure to take extra steps every time the "RED engine 3" window appears. Your game will contain errors that cannot be resolved if you forget to close and reopen the script after compiling it.

Warnings and Tips

•You must start a new Game Plus after installation. No exceptions.

•New Game Plus is not supported.

•Quick boot is not supported.

•Highly recommended to take advantage of the in-game tutorial if this is your first time playing, or if migrating from a previous, older version.

•You can change your preferred controls using the game menu in Options>Keybindings. When you have a menu like this open, do not reset all controls to their default settings (without pressing [R]) without using this option. If you do this, the game will "forget" the controls added by the mod and you won't be able to use them even though they appear to have corresponding input buttons. If you erased the controls by mistake, you can fix the problem by reinstalling the mod's input.settings file.

•The enhanced version does not care whether the Unification Patch exists. Do not play past version 1.31 (September 12, 2016) of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. If you don't know your version number, check the game's main menu.

•Enhanced version is released in English only. If you speak another language, look for translations at the top of the instructions page. If no translation is available, the game must be forced to load an enhanced version of the English text, otherwise many text boxes will appear blank.
