About this mod Machine translation
This mod lowers thoses' stats and increases their levels, effectively making the game more realistic
This mod reduces the stats of thoses at higher levels, effectively making most missions in the game performable regardless of Geralds level.
This mode is not about making the game harder or easier. This just means that encounters with high level enemies will still provide
It’s a challenge if not taken seriously. Geralt is a wizard, not a stupid coward who needs to run away before the First One.
An uncontrollable creature in the vanilla game.
Another goal of these adjustments is to stop being humiliated every time you duel a city guard or make a mistake.
Guards now gain some bonuses around Geralt's level (-1, +1) and can take damage "normally".
I started with the 1.12 version of the files: gameplay/abilities/monster_base_abl_new, opp_base_abl_.xml and then packaged it.
I also modified the script content/content0/scripts/game/npc/npc.ws (line 936).
You just need to package the XML files into a bundle. These scripts just need to be added to the content directory of the mod archive on the package side, otherwise they will never be built by the red engine and will be ignored.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
