About this mod Machine translation
Enemies will have higher levels than normal game, depending on which area you are in.
First of all, a big thank you to Ghost of the Wasteland, go check out his friendly HUD mod:
Also SkacikPL, check out his mods, here
People have been complaining about the lack of high-level monsters, and the fact that you're ignored when you get to Skellige. This module aims to solve this problem:
What this mod does: Changes enemy levels based on the area you are in.
My default value:
White Orchard: Each enemy is now 3 levels higher than in the vanilla game (Drowners will be level 5 instead of 2)
Velen:+ 5
Novigrad: +6
Skellige: +9
Other areas (e.g. endgame content, etc.): +9
If you want to change these values, open the file npc.ws in the "modLevelBCE" mod folder and go to lines 314-360. Should be fairly straightforward.
My default is to make it more challenging for people using Lautreamont's Better Combat Enhanced mod who like to complete all the question marks on the map (which makes getting overwritten a problem). BCE removes the "advanced monster buffs" (monsters get stupidly high health/dmg bonuses when they get past your level 6), so if you're not using that mod you might want to look at yourself or use mods to remove that premium bonus (I'm pretty sure there are some on this site already).
How to install:
Use mod manager
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
