Color variations for all drowners.
Someone (user Pr0elator from the cdprojektred forum) suggested changing the color of texture drowners.
So I tried making some textures and changing the coloring of drowners, drowned_dead (high level drowners) mucknixers (skellige drowners) and underwater drowners.
While testing I found that dismembering the flood will make it use the common flood texture for the broken limb, creating an ugly effect if the color of the 2 textures are too different.
Pictures of the vanilla question:
That's what we finally agreed on.
Drowners: Give them a more greeny-grey feel rather than vanilla blue.
Drowned_dead: Make them a similar color to normal drowners, with red to reflect their high level.
Mucknixer: Make it look redder.
Underwater drowners: Changed their color almost to a more grayish blue neutral color.
Some pictures of dismemberment:
The color difference is still there, dismembered, but if you hadn't noticed until now, you probably wouldn't have cared about it. :)
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
