About this mod Machine translation
An Alchemy Overhaul mod designed to implement similar mechanics used by TW1 and TW2. Lightweight, highly compatible, and polished to perfection. Brew potions individually like TW1-2, extracting "base ingredients" such as Aether, Quibrith, etc. From Monster Parts, enjoy longer potion duration and rebalancing effects.
Convenient
What makes this mod "convenient"?
- Batch "Basic Ingredient" Creation. Due to the large number of base ingredients and various different monster parts, each base ingredient recipe lists 5 different monster parts; however, only 1 monster part is needed to create the base ingredient; you do not need all the parts listed in the recipe list. All monster parts will be consumed immediately, so you don't need to sit there and create the same basic ingredients 20 times.
- The meditation menu has been changed so that a confirmation appears asking "Batch generate all base ingredients? (all monster parts will be consumed) [Yes] or [No]". This basically replaces the vanilla "refill" mechanic, which is very handy if you have a lot of monster parts.
Other changes
- The duration of most potions has been nearly doubled, however, some of their effects need to be scaled back due to their longer duration. Additionally, the amount of toxicity required to consume a potion has been slightly increased.
- The rate at which toxicity is discharged now takes longer.
- The maximum "ammo" capacity of each potion, oil, and bomb (regardless of level) is 4. You can still increase the maximum ammo capacity of bombs with the appropriate alchemy skill.
- Decoction or "mutagen potion" now has a maximum ammo capacity of 2; vanilla is 1.
- Use the last ammo and it will disappear from your inventory instead of showing as "0/4".
- The character skill "Tolerance Gained" has been changed: "The maximum toxicity of each active alchemical skill is increased by 1/2/3, multiplied by their skill level." - The reason for this change is because the original ability shrank the number of recipes Geralt knew.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
