About this mod Machine translation
A very small mod that attempts to explain Dijkstra's behavior during "Reason of State".
Dijkstra is one of my favorite characters in the Witcher universe. He always planned ahead and knew exactly what he was doing. He once made a big mistake:
Underestimating Geralt--his legs reminded him of today's stupidity.
So why would he not only admit his betrayal to Geralt's friends, but also try to fight him face to face? !
While I love everything else about Dijkstra in this game, this scene feels completely out of place.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are using version 1.0.0, please download the optional file "Uninstall1.0.0" and install the new version. The new version no longer has complex unistall routines.
- What this mod does:
This mod attempts to explain his uncharacteristic behavior. The person who tried to kill Roche, Weiss and Taylor wasn't actually Dijkstra. It's a Doppler!
Why did he do this? Who knows? Geralt killed him before even asking, so I guess we'll never know.
Is this a cheap solution? Of course it is!
Is it better than what we had in the vanilla game? Well, at least for me.
Fake Dijkstra now drops the Doppler mutagen and added a note in the "Roles" - section.
Additional journal entries are available for the German and English versions of the game.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
