About this mod Machine translation

This is just a translation of Nothinmuch's mod "Witcher Crossbows Overhaul".

The "Witcher Crossbows Overhaul" model was created to give the Witcher Crossbows more meaning. Not necessarily by increasing base damage, but by adding special bonuses, effects, and new plans. The idea for the mod came about even before the expansion Blood and Wine was released. Surprisingly, there are only two crossbows. What's changed in wizarding schools? It wasn't that important before that. When blood and wine are introduced, new passions emerge. Disappointingly, not only are there no new "Master" crossbows, but they don't even count toward the "set bonus." This modification should resolve the issue.

Mod properties:

So is the "Wizard Crossbow Overhaul" Mod added?

First of all, here are the 4 magic school crossbows you can play now which are the following:

cat crossbow

Holding a crossbow

wolf crossbow

Bear Crossbow

Logically, adding a user to Blood and Wine is as follows:

Manti crossbow

All this... nothing?

Each crossbow now has 3 plans (except for the Manticore crossbow, which only has one plan). So when you start a new game and complete the treasure hunter's quest, you'll find the plans for the crossbow combined with the plans for the Silver Sword from the appropriate wizard school. Each crossbow can be upgraded from "Normal" to "Advanced" to "Master". Not all upgrades have been added, as crossbows are relatively rare at the start of the game.

Note: Due to issues involving finding suitable containers for Wolf School, schemes for "normal" and "advanced" wolf crossbows have been added to "Hattori". So these are all after completing the mission"

Last but not least, for Blood and Wine netizens the "Archmage" scheme is integrated into the treasure hunt mission. Therefore, these can be obtained in the "normal way". Additionally, crossbows are now a bonus for various group settings. However, the full set of requirements has not changed. So it remains at 3/6 and 6/6.

Too much information so let’s summarize.

Different versions of the statement

V1: This version provides all treasure hunter quests ALL (5) magic crossbows and their plans for disposal

(restart/NG+)

V2: Exactly the same version as 1st Edition, however, the plans of "Master Blacksmith Lafargue" are available for purchase in Blood and Wine. (For those who have already completed the treasure hunt)

V3: This version only contains crossbows and plans that are not related to blood and wine.

(Neither Manti nor Grandmaster upgrades include blood and wine for humans)

Install/Uninstall

First:! Open the game, pull AL …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
