About this mod Machine translation

A notification pops up after a heist if you have a nail item available for crafting, or a PC-intensive scan of all possible crafting recipes. Also included are some tweaks to the store to make purchasing ingredients for staple recipes easier. See the description for more information. Available in all languages.

Craft partner

I created a little mod that will show a notification if after you've looted something you can craft the item you're currently pinned to. Alternatively, you can use the full version that scans all recipes to notify you of what you can make (this mode is PC intensive and will cause lag when looting containers). Available in all languages.

feature

After looting/purchasing an item, a notification will tell you when a fixed recipe can be crafted. This can be changed to scan all recipes that can be made (this mode will cause lag)

There is an option to automatically craft nail alchemy items when you have the necessary ingredients, this is enabled by default.

The mod can be customized to scan only alchemical recipes or crafting recipes.

If you try to buy a set recipe that you need, the quantity purchased is automatically set to give you enough time to make the recipe.

Install

To install the mod:

Download and extract using NMM.

Or download the mod and extract it to where Witcher 3 is installed in the mods directory (create it if it doesn't exist).

Once completed, go to the <Witcher 3 Installation>ModsmodCraftingBuddy folder. There, copy the "bin" folder and paste it into the <Witcher 3 install> directory. Now go back to the <Witcher 3 install>\ModsmodCraftingBuddy folder and open the user.settings.part.txt file you will see there. Copy all the text in it and paste it into the user.settings file, which can be found in My DocumentsThe Witcher 3.

Configure mod

To configure a mod, open the in-game menu and select ->Mods->Craft Buddy

The first option is to set the mod's scan mode. The default setting is to scan only fixed recipes, but all recipes can be scanned. Again, this is very resource intensive and will cause lag when you loot containers. You were warned.

Next, you can choose to automatically craft your fixed alchemical recipes when you have enough resources. Enabled by default

You can also change how long notifications appear using the slider in this menu.

The last option only affects using full scan mode. It allows you to set the mod to scan only alchemical recipes or crafting recipes, which will make the mod more efficient.

Compatibility with other mods

If you have problems running this mod with other mods, first try using AnotherSymbiote's Script Merger tool, which can be found at. Honestly, I recommend running this tool whenever you install a new mod, as it will fix most compatibility issues you might have. If this doesn't solve your problem, I'll look into it.

If you are using JupiterTheGod's AutoLoot mod, you will need to download the AutoLoot compatible version of this mod. Don't try to merge the two modes. When installing my mod, open the mods.settings file and make sure my mod has higher priority than AutoLoot. You will also need to recreate your AutoLoot filter in my mod. Follow the same steps that can be found on the AutoLoot mod page, the only difference is to open the AutoLootBase.ws file in the mod folder and make changes there instead of the AutoLoot mod folder.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
