About this mod Machine translation
When your consumable slot becomes empty, the game will no longer automatically fill the slot with food or alcohol items from your backpack
Tired of accidentally eating your precious grilled chicken sandwich because you didn't know the game automatically stuck it in a consumable slot. Did you throw the F key around in a frantic battle, and now all your milk has mysteriously disappeared, even though you had it safely tucked away in your inventory?
Micromanagers rejoice! As long as this mod is installed, the game will no longer automatically fill your consumable slots with food or alcohol when the slot becomes empty. Of course, now you have to repopulate each slot yourself. But, if you're like me, it's a welcome change!

Extract the .zip to the switcher 3\mods folder.
This mod changes the playerwitcher.ws file. I don't think it will clash fatally with other modes, but who knows. However, many mods also change playerwitcher.ws, so you may need to merge it with other mods. In this case, use the excellent tool Script Merge.
This is a very simple model. All I did was comment lines 4748-4769 in playerwitcher.ws, which is located at:
The Witcher 3\content\content0\scripts\game\player
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
