Three ReShade presets that capture and exaggerate the quintessential aspects of retro cinema.
These ReShade presets emulate the nostalgic film flavor and add a layer of dark grit to the environment. Perfect for The Witcher, this mod has little (if any) impact on performance and adds a great level of immersion to the game.
I recommend playing with the HUD disabled and sharpening set to low.

Install:
- Download ReShade version 4.0
- Run the ReShade installer and select the folder containing the installation location of witcher3.exe
- Select Direct3D 10+ and select Download all options from ReShade
- Download one of the mod options (or all three) and place the .ini file into the same folder as witcher3.exe.
- Launch the game and press "HOME" to bring up the ReShade menu
- Select .ini from the drop down menu and enjoy (if you download all three you can switch between them by doing this in game)
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
