About this mod Machine translation
Just make the original high-level enemies in the game well beyond your level
The default version will boost all enemies below your level by 6 levels, putting them into a lethal level (which causes them to take ridiculous amounts of damage and health boosts)
This is especially useful late game when you're running ng+bear armor with powerful attacks and 2 projectiles for everything, even when upgraded.
The game should be more challenging now
Of course, to reach this level of scale, you'll need to upgrade in The Witcher 3 game options.
You can also modify some simple values ..\modchallengupscaling\content\scripts\game\npc\npc.ws to better suit your preferences (see screenshot, 3 values need to be edited)
mod made and tested in wicher 3 v1.31 Goty Steam
If there is a script compilation error, use script merge to automatically fix it
Added V2: Also takes high-level bosses (quests and wizard contracts!) further beyond your level (by increasing the buff when high-level is turned on). The default version will keep high-level bosses balanced with +6 level gangsters accordingly (bosses are not leveled, so increasing the balance multiplier buff is the only way).
Additionally, the multiplier buff can also be modified by editing npc.ws (changing a single value, the default is 1), just like last time (see screenshot and comments // instructions).
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
