This model attempts to reduce potion consumption and the need for meditation by extending the duration and providing more potions.
The idea is to make meditation more meaningful and the potion you drink more important. I'm off to find more dark souls, get a feel for where you rest between campfires, and then set off into the wilderness in hopes of surviving until the next campfire. Because of this preparation, wghost81's mod is almost mandatory.
--I recommend using the default settings in the meditation presets in preparation mode, but using
"No spawning campfires"
Switch to ON.
- If you want to own your own forest, you should maximize the cost of lumber and hardened wood.
-Possibly also increasing potion crafting costs in the alchemy menu.

Install
Install ghost mode and prepare mode through wghost81
Unzip and move modbetterghostpotions folder to witcher 3 game folder\mods
Make sure better ghost mode potions have higher priority than ghost mode potions. Set this if you haven't changed any mod priorities in %userprofile%\documents\the witcher 3\mods.settings
Shouldn't be a problem since it takes precedence alphabetically. See picture below.
uninstall
Delete modbetterghostpotions folder from witcher 3 game folder\mods
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
