Active Learner (Skills MOD)

The skills and effects learned are always powerful and require no equipment.

This mod will work with savegames, learned skills will be active but missing some bonuses, passive perks will have no effect (e.g. Survival Instinct). You'll need to upgrade your skills (if they're not beyond that) or reset them with some clearing.

I didn't test every skill but everything seems to be in order, please report any bugs you may find in detail :)

• Mod Manager doesn't like the readme file, so I deleted it and it should work now.
• Fixed minor bug with 'Synergy' skill.
• Small adjustments to avoid potential bugs.
• Added an optional 'Nerfed' version that only adds the general bonus to the skill tree once per skill.

For example: the default bonus for the Signature tree is '+0.5% Stamina Regeneration' and that's added for each skill level, the 'Melt Armor' skill has five levels, so '+2.5% Stamina Regeneration', now you only get +0.5% for every skill learned, regardless of level, for the Combat and Alchemy trees. (Skill tooltips will still show the default bonus, but character stats will reflect the correct values)

This mod makes changes to: ..\scripts\game\gameplay\ability\PlayerAbilityManager.ws..\scripts\game\quests\conditions\questPlayerSkillLevel.ws

and will not be compatible with other mods that change these files.

Install:

Extract the 'mod_ActiveLearner' folder into the '~your game folder~\mods\' folder or create it if it doesn't exist.

uninstall:

IMPORTANT: Before removing the mod, please use a gap to reset skills, save the game and exit.

Delete the 'mod_ActiveLearner' folder from the 'mods' folder.

Game balance:

Apparently this mod messes with game balance (but that wouldn't surprise me), so playing on a harder difficulty, or using game balance mode might make it more fun.
