It seems you don't need Active Learner anymore.
There is a new mod called "elys-allskillsactive" that serves a very similar purpose, so use it :)

I tried to fix activated learner mode after game patch 1.12. A user requested my help because the original mod author didn't respond to them. Unfortunately I can't test anything yet so I don't know if this works.
I uploaded 2 versions and only installed one of them.
First up is version 1.03. If this doesn't work, then uninstall it and install version 1.04, if that doesn't work either, please send me something to work on, error messages, etc.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
