Optimized Tweaks TOW2

✨ **A comprehensive performance optimization mod designed specifically for The Outer Worlds 2**

🚀 Core functions

  • **Significantly reduced game lag** - by optimizing Unreal Engine variable settings
  • **Improve overall performance** - Optimize CPU and GPU usage efficiency
  • **Reduced Input Lag** - Provides a smoother gaming experience
  • **Improved frame time stability** - makes the game run smoother
  • **Enhanced streaming and memory management** - No need to sacrifice picture quality

🔧 How it works

Simply put, this mod modifies many Unreal Engine variables that game developers leave at their default values to achieve the above improvements. It's worth noting that **in certain game areas** it may even slightly increase your FPS (**the exact effect depends on your hardware configuration and settings**).

💡 IMPORTANT NOTICE

  • Mod has "Future Compatibility" - Compatible with future game patches
  • **Not compatible with other optimization/performance/tuning mods** - Please do not mix
  • Mods cannot fix problems with the game itself, they can only make the game run better

📥 Installation Guide

**1)** Download any **master file**

**2)** Extract the .pak file to your game directory: `....\Arkansas\Content\Paks\~mods`

(If there is no ~mods folder, please create it manually)

**Highly recommended settings:**

  • **When using V-Sync**: Turn off Vsync in game → Enable Vsync in NVIDIA Control Panel (or AMD Control Panel)
  • **When not using V-Sync**: Set FPS to Unlimited in the game → Use RivaTuner to limit the frame rate
  • You can also use NVIDIA Control Panel's Vsync and RivaTuner's frame rate limit at the same time

**Uninstall Method**: Delete the .pak file from the ~mods folder

🔄 Compatibility Notes

It is not recommended to use other .pak or .ini files simultaneously for performance tuning/improvements to avoid any overrides and side effects.

Other types of mods can be used normally (whether they are implemented via .pak or .ini files, what matters is their functionality).

If you're unsure about compatibility with other mods, please ask me in the posts area.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
