About this mod Machine translation
This mod adds functionality to improve Subnautica's VR experience.
This mod fixes most of the issues with VR in Subnautica. I know this mod works on the Epic version and the stable Steam version but I can't confirm if any mod works on Steam with the experimental version of Subnautica, so if it doesn't work for you, try installing QMods with my mod on the stable Steam version.
The following is a list of changes made:
Added an option under the General tab of Options to enable VR animations, which allows turning on movie playback and re-enabling fire in the pane. Animations for climbing ladders, entering and exiting habitats and vehicles are also available.
Fixed poorly positioned player models. Seaglide will no longer block your entire field of view, all tools are fully visible. For those who have problems with PDAs being too close, it has now been moved further back, tilted and zoomed in for improved visibility.
Subtitles were previously invisible and have been moved upwards so they are now visible in VR.
Since the default VR walking speed is 60% of the non-VR walking speed, a slider has been added to adjust the walking speed in VR.
The mouse cursor is initially not visible in VR, and even with a gaze-based cursor, the alignment of the cursor is wrong. I made the cursor visible when using mouse and keyboard without using the gaze-based cursor option. Also fixed cursor alignment issues on world menus, such as the Scanner Room and Cyclops menus. The rename beacon now seems to work properly as long as you keep the cursor over the text field when using mouse and keyboard.
Added an option in the General tab to disable the HUD unless you're looking down to help resolve HUD issues that hinder PDAs.
Fixed an issue where the position of sounds in the game would go the wrong way if you turned your head in real life instead of turning with a controller or mouse. Without this mod, if you hear a sound to the right and turn your head to look in the direction of the sound in real life, you will continue to hear the sound to the right when you hear it from the front.
Made loading screens more comfortable by removing the background image and displaying the Alterra logo and loading text in the middle of a black screen.
版本1.7.1更改
Fixed bug with PDA height based VR animation options. Fixed a bug where body animations were frozen when VR animations were enabled after loading the game. Fixed invisible HUD if the Look Down HUD option is disabled when the HUD is not visible.
Known issues:
After using the builder tool, the body is in the wrong position and orientation during animation. A quick fix is to open and close the PDA after using the builder tool.
If the Seamoth is not horizontal when the PDA is opened while driving, the PDA can open in a difficult-to-read position.
Some players reported only seeing a black screen when loading, when they should see the logo and loading text.
If I have time, I will add more improvements in future versions.
Install:
1.下载并安装QMods。 Once you have set the correct location for your Subnautica installation, be sure to remove the "not found" at the end of the installation path in the QMods installer. Once the installation is complete, you should have a folder called QMods in your Subnautica folder.
- Extract the VREnhancements folder in this zip file into the QMods folder in the Subnautica installation folder. If done correctly, you should place the files mod.json and VREnhancements.dll in a folder called VREnhancements in the QMods folder. An example path is "D:\Games\Subnautica\QMods\VREnhancements"
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
