Version 0.3.3 - Fixed bug preventing lifepod maker from working (thanks for the report, Plesiosaurus123)
Ever wanted to connect multiple bases to the same set of solar panels? Can't do this. Well, you couldn't before. This mod changes the Power Transmitter object, allowing each object to send power to two sources instead of one, so you can share power between all bases.
illustrate:
Just install it. Existing storage should work fine, so no need to launch a new game.
What it can do:
Add additional outbound connections for each Power Transmitter
Redesign the entire power network to achieve this without creating cycles
Connect power in both directions, so solar and thermal energy near one base will also feed the other bases as long as they are connected via the Power Tramsitter
Made a lot of blue lines!
What it doesn't do:
There is no change in loading, so the remote may still not be providing power when loading a save game
Power sources like solar panels can still only be connected to one endpoint (just for simplicity)
Bases are not connected to other bases. You need a network of power transmitters to supply them
Future improvements:???
Incompatibility issues:
May break functionality of other mods used with power networks
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
