Drilling loss
This mod allows you to adjust the amount of damage the Drill does.
Customize damage values and affect mob settings by editing config.json.
Now compatible with MoreSeamothUpgrades! < - 2019-04-16
Now has the option to affect creatures! (Default is disabled) <- 2019-05-10 Module
How it works:
Each piece of sediment has 200 hp, and the drill usually does 5 damage per tick, and it takes 40 ticks to break a piece. The extra damage is added to the normal 5 points of damage per tick.
This is similar for mobs, except that drills usually only do 4 damage per tick and have only one health pool.
AdditionalDamage is set to 5x damage (mod default).
5 + 5 = 10 = x2 = 20 ticks.
5 + 10 = 15 = x3 = 14 ticks.
5 + 15 = 20 = x4 = 10 ticks.
This mod works by applying an AdditionalDamage to the target before the base code is corrupted.
The target's health status will not drop below 1 to ensure that the base code runs correctly.
If you want to extend or disable AdditionalDamage, you can set AdditionalDamage from -4 to 0. Note that if set to -4 and Effects Creatures are enabled, drill will no longer cause damage to creatures.
How to install:
Install QModManager 2.0
Unzip the file to 'Subnautica\QMods'
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
