About this mod Machine translation

Update 2016/12/22: This mod is compatible with update 2.0.0, which introduced DirectInput support. You may need to configure the controller from the main menu by selecting Options -> Additional Settings -> 1P DirectInput Controller Settings.

For anyone using a PS4 controller on Street Fighter V, this is a simple mod that replaces the Xbox controller icon with a double-click of the 4's PlayStation controller icon. Credit goes to xelu for the PS4 icon here.

Easy to install

Just use TheFrosthaven's mod manager, which makes for hassle-free drag and drop installation of this mod.

Manual installation

As mentioned in the StreetFighterMods wiki on Reddit, follow these steps to install the mod:

  • Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\StreetFighterV\StreetFighterV\Content\Paks (your path may be slightly different if you haven't installed in the default directory), then create a new folder called ~mods (make sure to include ~).
  • Download this file, unzip it and place the two .pak files in the ~mods folder. Note that if you have already completed steps 1 and 2 for the previous mod, you do not need to do them again.
  • Download the PS4 Buttons mod, unzip the .zip file and move the included PS4Buttons.pak file into the ~mods directory. Now when you launch the game it will load the mod!
  • To uninstall the mod, simply delete the PS4Buttons.pak file, or rename the .pak extension to something else.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
