About this mod Author’s original text
No Camera Roll
Removes STRAFTAT's camera roll and camera shake effects. Every effect has its own toggle, so you can turn off only what bothers you.
Vanilla compatible - this mod only changes what your own camera does, so you can still play with people who don't have it.
Options
Configure these in the Mod Menu tab, or in BepInEx/config/kev.nocameraroll.cfg.
| Option | Default | What it does |
| --- | --- | --- |
| DisableCameraRoll | On | Removes the camera tilt from strafing and from moving the mouse. Also removes the wall-slide lean, which uses the same tilt. |
| DisableVaultShake | On | Removes the shake when vaulting over an object. |
| DisableLandingShake | On | Removes the landing shake, including the hard-landing camera dip. |
| DisableSlopeJumpShake | On | Removes the shake when jumping out of a slide. |
| DisableWallJumpShake | Off | Removes the shake when wall jumping. |
| DisableCeilingBumpShake | Off | Removes the shake when hitting a ceiling. |
Installation
Use a mod manager, or drop NoCameraRoll.dll into BepInEx/plugins.
Notes
Each effect is disabled at the point the game triggers it, so nothing else about movement, vaulting or landing is changed - only the camera.
If a game update moves things around, affected options switch themselves off and a warning is written to BepInEx/LogOutput.log rather than silencing the wrong effect.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
- For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.
Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
