Level Loader
A library to load custom levels
About this mod Author’s original text
BayTurtleKing's Level Loader
This mod is a shared library that lets other mods add custom map categories ("worlds") without patching the game's code directly. It handles tab creation and AssetBundle scene routing for you, plus much more.
Since you can also include code, this is much more than just a copy of the workshop level loader. Levels using this can have unique features and quirks.
How to register a world:
int mapIds = thelibrary.addworld(
categoryname: "MyWorld", // tab label or name
dabundlee: asset_bundle, // the assetbundle
thescenepaths: path_ofscenes, // string of scene paths inside the bundle
mapnamesmaybe: null, // custom per map names (optional)
picsmaybe: null, // byte preview thumbnails (one per scene) (optional)
whoarewestealingfrom: "Halloween" // use "Christmas" if you want the Christmas gifts to show
);
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
- For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.
Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
