introduce

GRiNDTerra Industries, a new corporate faction secretly funded by UC that competes with Ryujin Industries. As a private company, it could expand in the Freestar space and use its funds to hire "former" UC government and military officials to help completely destroy its competitors. To the public, this is a company whose goal is to remake the universe to its own design. Secretly, it is slowly expanding its private military presence on as many planets as possible, hoping to become a corporation.

In 1.0, the GrindTerra faction has been added to the pool of factions capable of spawning at many different types of random POI locations. You can interact with them like any other faction, but there is currently no way to join them. You can purchase their uniforms with points at the Industrial Workbench. This is an easier way than injecting a tiered list for maximum compatibility and always being able to purchase the latest GrindTerra swag.

GrindTerra Industries starts out neutral to players and will warn you if you trespass. If you become a member of the Ryujin Industries faction, you will automatically be hostile to GrindTerra Industries. GRiNDTerra Industries will track your crimes and give you faction-specific bounties, and you might even get arrested! (You will be taken to one of two UC prison locations) If any future content requires faction loyalty, GrindTerra will side with the UC, not the Freestar collective. It does not increase the bounty or affect your relationship with UC. For now, pickpocketing, murder and trespassing are pretty much all there is.

我做了两项与 GrindTerra 无关的更改。 First, I had to edit Walter Shroud (thanks to Galle5 for fixing this), and second, I made some small changes to how the spacers are generated. They are the only faction that doesn't have spawning requirements, so I added the requirement that they must spawn in the locations shown in the vanilla structure to help ensure they don't randomly spawn instead of the factions that are supposed to spawn in those locations.

Installation instructions

As of now, this requires the plugins.txt enabler. You can also use any ASI loader for plugins.txt injection, I only recommend sfse. You should not use the test file method, but do so at your own risk. These will be removed once the mod is officially supported, and eventually there will no longer be any requirements.

Follow the plugins.txt installation instructions and add *exactfilenameincludespacesandcapitalletters.esm to your plugins.txt

Follow the path indicated to install the texture.

compatibility:

If you use POINNPCDiversity (highly recommended), use optional files instead of the main file. So far this is the only mod I will add compatibility to for myself, you are free to make your own patches.

GRiNDTerra will begin to turn hostile against the Ryujin security forces. I didn't include the changes to the shims because npcdiversity went a different route.

Only incompatible with mods that edit locations or add hostile characters to the random pool. The mods lower on the list will be generated. If using conflicting mods, new outfits will always be available at the workbench. Outfits do not spawn on anyone other than the GrindTerra faction, nor are they injected into the level list. Get them for your industrial workbench.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
