Unique Children
🎮 **Make every child unique! ** This mod brings a new child appearance system to "Stardew Valley", making your family life more colorful!
---
✨ Core Functions
👨👩👧👦 **Personalized child appearance**:
- In online mode, all players' children will have different appearances based on their spouse (or ex-spouse)
- Single player also works, making your family more realistic
- Compatible with large expansion modules such as **Ridgeside Village** and **Stardew Valley Expanded**
🎯 Instructions for use
Single player game
The mod will automatically identify the correct spouse to assign an appearance to the child. If you feel that the allocation is incorrect, you can edit the `children.json` file to make manual adjustments (you need to load the archive once before generating this file).
Online games
All players must have the same mods and sprite files installed, otherwise the game may crash. When acting as a client, the game will use the host's children.json file.
👶Appearance Rules
- **Heterosexual couple**: The child looks similar to the spouse
- **Same-Sex Couples**: The child's appearance differs depending on the spouse
- **Divorce Situation**: The child remains similar in appearance to the ex-spouse

Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
- Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.
Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
