Mod that adds a cooldown time for food consumption
Stop Binge Eating
🍽️ **Say goodbye to uncontrolled eating and experience a more realistic eating system! **
✨ Module function
This mod aims to solve the problem of low utilization of the cooking system in the game and change the way players interact with food:
- **Satiety Mechanism** 🍎 - After eating any food, you will get the "satisfaction" debuff effect for 20 seconds, during which you can no longer eat.
- **Thirst quenching mechanism** 💧 - After drinking any beverage, you will get the "thirst quenching" debuff effect for 20 seconds, and you can no longer drink during this period.
- **Custom Icons** 🎨 - Added exclusive visual identity for two debuffs
- **Configurable Duration** ⚙️ - Adjust debuff duration in config.json
🎮 Improved game experience
In spelunking, health is no longer a resource that can be easily replenished, because you can't replenish it instantly with lots of low-value food. This gives high value foods an added edge and hopefully makes the cooking system more attractive!
🔧 Compatibility
- Use debuffs that existed in the original game but were never used
- Theoretically compatible with all food items added by modules
📥 Installation instructions
- Extract the compressed package to the "Stardew Valley/Mods" folder
- Requires SMAPI 4.0 or later

🌟 *Make the food system in Stardew Valley more real and interesting, and rediscover the charm of cooking! *
Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
- Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.
Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
