Stardew Valley Balance Overhaul
🌟 **Stardew Valley Balance Overhaul (SVBO)** is designed to make more playstyles feasible while adjusting unbalanced content to reasonable levels. This mod changes almost every aspect of the game: sales prices, shops, crafting recipes, crafting items, monsters, building costs, food buffs, community center collection packs, and more.
🎯 Design Concept
SVBO is committed to designing a more balanced experience for long-term playstyles:
- ⚡ **Faster Early Game** - Less boring waiting in the early stages
- 🐌 **Later game is slower** - Avoid the later content being too simple
- 💰 **MORE REWARDING** - Make every decision more meaningful
- ⚖️ **Better Balance** - All kinds of gameplay can get reasonable benefits
**Important Note:** In order to obtain the expected experience, a new save needs to be created. Before creating a new archive, be sure to set up your desired Community Center collection in the configuration.
✨ Main functions
**Economic system reworked:**
- 🌱 The profits of all crops and animals are closer and still valuable in the later stage
- 🎣 The selling price of fish is based on the difficulty of catching, and the profit curve is flatter
- 🏪 Store prices and inventory adjustments, unable to easily obtain unlimited food and resources
- 🌸Flower prices are flattened and nectar prices are closer
**Artisan system optimization:**
- ⚗️ When using high-quality raw materials, artisan products have a chance to increase production
- 🐄 After processing large animal products, 2 products will be produced, with the quality improving
- 🔧 Artisan machines are more difficult to make, delaying the profit explosion in the middle and later stages
**Game content adjustment:**
- 🍎 Most foods have added buff effects and their duration is extended
- 🏗️ Building and animal costs rescaled
- ⚔️ Monster strength adjustment (3 difficulty options available)
- 🎁 Community Center Collection Pack is slightly harder to complete, but the rewards are better
🛠️ Quality of Life Improvement
- 🔄 Large animal products can be split into smaller products
- 🛒 Specific NPCs can buy special items (Willy buys fishing rods, Marnie buys scissors, etc.)
- 🏥 Harvey Clinic sells potions of life
- 🏗️ Silo can hold 1000 hay
📦 Essential module
- Content Patcher
- Cross-Mod Compatibility Tokens

Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
- Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.
Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
