Sprite Sheet Extender

🎮 **A sprite extension tool designed specifically for mod creators**

✨ Core Functions

  • **Breaking Limits**: Free the farmer sprite frame rate from the original 125 frame limit
  • **Precise Positioning**: Adjust the positional alignment of hair and clothing via x and y coordinate offsets
  • **Flexible Configuration**: Supports real-time adjustment of settings through configuration files or console commands

🛠️ Installation settings

  • **Add dependencies**
  • Open the manifest.json file in your mod folder

-Add in dependencies:

```json
{
"UniqueID": "mooseybrutale.spriteextender",
"IsRequired": "false"
}
```

  • **Start SMAPI**
  • Launch the game and run SMAPI
  • **Configure the number of elves**
  • If GMCM is installed, you can add the number of elves to be expanded directly in the settings
  • When using only a single gender, just set the number of the corresponding gender
  • Users who have not installed GMCM can manually configure it in the SSXConfig.json file (need to restart the game)
  • **Load Archive**
  • Load an existing save or start a new game
  • The module will automatically generate a default offset value [0,0] for the number of sprites you specify.

🎯 Wizard offset adjustment

When the farmer's hair, clothing, and accessories are not aligned correctly when using sprites, the offset settings need to be adjusted:

  • **Configuration file method**: Edit the corresponding sprite pair in the SSXConfig.json file
  • **Console Command**: Use the setFrameOffset command to adjust in real time in the SMAPI console

⌨️ Console commands

setFrameOffset

  • **Function**: Modify the x and y offset of the specified sprite
  • **Format**: setFrameOffset
  • **Parameter Description**:
  • Frame Index: The sprite frame number to be edited (must be greater than 125!)
  • x offset: horizontal offset number of pixels (positive numbers to the right, negative numbers to the left)
  • y offset: vertical offset number of pixels (positive numbers go down, negative numbers go up)
  • **AutoSave**: Changes are automatically saved to the SSXConfig.json file

getFrameOffset

  • **Function**: View the current offset settings of the specified sprite
  • **Format**: getFrameOffset
  • **Frame Index**: The sprite frame number to check (must be greater than 125!)

💡 **Tips**: This is a tool module for module developers. When ordinary players use it, they need to cooperate with other modules to see the effect.

Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)

  1. Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
  2. Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
  3. Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
  4. Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.

Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
