Add some wildlife to the game

SH’s wildlife

🌿 **This is the main version of the wildlife mod**, which contains content from the original game and the Stardew Valley expansion, and is compatible with Lnh's Ginger Island Overhaul, Piber20's explorable West Forest and other mods. If you don't plan on using any map-altering mods, download Wildlife Lite.

🐾Module introduction

I've always wanted to make this mod and now it's finally happened! I love the critters in Stardew Valley, but always felt like they showed up too rarely (except for butterflies and the occasional bird) and always hid behind bushes or trees. Thus, the **Wild Animals** module was born, filling the animal void in my heart!

🌳 Features

  • **Dynamic Generation System**: Add a large number of animals to multiple locations in the game based on time, weather and seasons
  • **Progressive appearance**: There are fewer animals in the first year of the game, and you will encounter more species as you progress.
  • **Natural Behavior**: Animals will wander around and may disappear behind trees or grass
  • **Interaction Possibilities**: Certain animals may no longer run away when you approach

⚠️ **Performance Tip**: Due to the number of animals and spawning conditions, this mod may increase the game load and cause lag. However, there was no significant delay during the testing phase with a small number of other modules.

Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)

  1. Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
  2. Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
  3. Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
  4. Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.

Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
