Soap making is a thousand-year-old traditional craft with a long and fascinating history, so let’s get right to the point.

🔧 Start making

To start making soap, you will need the following materials:

• **Caustic Soda**: Easily available. Put a piece of precious wood into the charcoal kiln and wait two hours to get a bottle of caustic soda
• **Soap Pot**: Automatically learns the recipe when the agriculture level reaches level 4. Production requires: 2 iron ingots, 10 precious wood, 1 clay, 1 battery pack
• **Oils**: Together with caustic soda in the soap pot to make various soaps

🌿 Oil and other raw materials

• **Base Oil**: Buy from Pierre or make your own
• **Milk**: Regular size cow or goat milk can be used with caustic soda to make milk soap (large size milk will not work)
• **Coconut Oil**: Put the coconut into the oil press to get two coconut oils
• **Orange Oil**: Put oranges into the oil press to get orange oil
• **Sweet Almond Oil**: Purchase sweet almond saplings from Pierre. After growing into trees, harvest the sweet almonds in spring and press them with an oil press.
