This mod adds a configurable running key (or sprint key) to the game, allowing you to move faster in Stardew Valley! While the base game already has running, it's still a bit slow... now you can actually sprint!
🎮 Button settings
- **Default key**: Left Shift key
- **IMPORTANT NOTE**: The game originally uses the left shift key to walk. You can modify the run key in config.json, or change the walk key in the game options like I did (the walk key is called "Run" in the game because of the basic running options)
- **Gamepad support**: Press the left stick to run (tested on Xbox controller)
⚡ Physical consumption system
Running consumes stamina over time, but you can configure the amount of stamina consumed when running:
- **Adjustable stamina consumption**
- **Stamina Limit Setting** - You cannot run when your stamina is below a certain percentage
- **Fully customizable consumption rate**

Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
- Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.
Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
