Roses in the Sand - Anthro Characters Continued Patch
🌟 About this mod
**Anthro Characters Continued** is a beautiful conversion mod that converts all characters from the original Stardew Valley and Stardew Valley Expanded Edition into their anthropomorphic forms, transforming Sandy into an absolutely stunning moth character.
**Roses in the Sand** is also a great expansion mod for Sandy, adding more backstory to her, more heart events, and the ability to have a romantic relationship with her.
Of course, this means Roses in the Sand adds a ton of new sprites and portraits for expressing moods, scenes, and situations that aren't covered in Anthro Characters Continued.
Hence this mod: a simple resource replacement mod that converts the Sandy sprite and portrait sheet from Roses in the Sand into her moth form, matching and compatible with Anthro Characters Continued.

📥 Installation Guide
This package has been coded and packaged as a standalone Content Patcher module. You should be able to add it losslessly - that is, without overwriting any resources in the ACC or RitS folders.
Installation steps:
- Download and extract the contents of this mod into your Stardew Valley/Mods folder... honestly, it's that easy!
---
✅ Verify installation
If you want to check to make sure the mod is working properly and installed correctly, you can access the mod settings via the Generic Mod Config Menu. If you see the title and option "Roses in the Sand (ACC Patch)", then the installation has been successful.
If you really want to confirm, you can go to the configuration settings and change the sprite, portrait, or both to the option called "Test". These options are designed to replace Sandy's sprite and portrait with a bold purple checkerboard pattern within a black outline. They might look a little... out of place in the actual game, but that's the intent; their presence gives you immediate visual confirmation that the mod is working. Not sure if this mod is working? While Sandy is present, turn on her test sprite or portrait options. **You will definitely know. **
If she looks *that*, then you're set. Enjoy the game! (But maybe change her back first.)

🔗 Compatibility
This mod provides special optional manifest dependency declarations for the following mods:
- Anthro Characters Continued
- Furry Stardew Valley Expanded
- Looking For Love Redux (which we highly recommend with its own Anthro Characters Continued patch)
This means that if this mod detects that you have any of these other mods installed, it will make them dependencies, meaning it will load after them and thus work properly with them. If you *don't* have these mods installed, this mod will simply ignore them and continue running, so it should work fine in either case.
That said, if you're running Looking For Love Redux, you might want to turn off/leave all of Sandy's sprite and portrait options blank, just in case. (If you're running Roses in the Sand, you may also want to turn off the ability to date her in LFLR, so that the two different sets of additional Sandy romances don't conflict with each other.)
With the exception of Sandy, everyone else included in LFLR should be completely unaffected and can proceed normally.
This mod really just gives Sandy new sprites and portraits; it may conflict with anything else that also gives Sandy new sprites and portraits, and is fully compatible with anything that doesn't. It does have separate options to enable/disable sprites and portraits, though, if you want to mix and match.

🗓️ Development Roadmap
This mod currently has relatively few features. Don’t worry; we’re just getting started! As of this writing, we just wanted to get this thing out t …
Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
- Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.
Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
