Rideable Siamese cat replacement horse
🐱 Module introduction
I made a .XNB file to replace the original horse.XNB file in the game! The original horse sticker was replaced with a cute image of my Siamese cat who loves running, Xiaojing.
🎮 How to use
- Open the Steam client
- Enter the game library
- Right-click on "Stardew Valley"
- Select "Manage" → "Browse local files"
- Enter the Content → Animals folder
- Drag the downloaded new horse.XNB file into the replacement
💡 **IMPORTANT NOTE**: Please be sure to back up the original horse.XNB file before replacing!
🐾 Special instructions
- Koi’s two hind paws have albino features
- When you feed him carrots, Xiaojing will be shown eating his favorite teething stick
- This is my first time making a simple skin mod, thank you all for your love~
✨ Game experience
Ride a cute Siamese cat for a stroll through Stardew Valley, adding more warmth and fun to your farm life! This lively kitten will accompany you on every adventure in Stardew Valley.
Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
- Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.
Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
