✨ Core Functions

The name generator that comes with the game is cute, but sometimes we just want a real name. This mod replaces the default random name generator with common male and female names from US Census data.

🛠️ Custom settings

You can easily create your own name list! Simply create a txt file in the mod's assets folder in the following format:

**File name format:**

• `names_female_.txt` - list of female names
• `names_male_.txt` - list of male names
• `names_.txt` - optional list of non-binary names

**Instructions for use:**

• One name per line (no blank lines!)
• Set `LocaleString` to your language code in configuration
• The module comes with a **Nordic style** sample file

⚙️ Configuration options

• **NeutralNameGender**: Set to "male" or "female" to use the corresponding list for non-gender specific naming (all animals)
• **RealNamesForAnimals**: When set to false, only takes effect on human babies

📁 Default file

• `names_female_en-US.txt` - English female names
• `names_male_en-US.txt` - English male names

Since there is no dedicated non-binary gender option, the default is to merge the male and female lists for non-gender-specific naming.
