Vanilla Recipe Edits
🎮 **Make Stardew Valley recipes more realistic and reasonable! **
✨ Module function
I've always been curious why the descriptions of certain recipes don't match the actual ingredients at all:
- 🍆 Eggplant Parmesan without cheese?
- 🌿 Bracken risotto without rice?
This makes absolutely no sense! So I created this simple little mod to fix these issues.
📝 Adjustment instructions
In the process of adjusting ingredient quantities, I may have made some dishes slightly more difficult to cook. But the original intention of this mod was never to make things easier, but to make them more real!
💡 **NOTE**: I didn’t change some of the recipes because they were just too weird to touch (weird buns scare me)
⚠️ Compatibility Tips
- ❌ Any other mod that changes the original recipe (please do not use both)
- 🎁 It might be a little weird if I add ingredients to a recipe that an NPC likes that they don't like, but let's pretend it doesn't happen
🔧 Installation requirements

Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
- Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.
Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
