I highly recommend backing up the original portrait files in case you want to switch back to the original art style! At the moment I don't know how to make a non-replacement version, so it can only be used as a replacement file for now.

✨ Module introduction
Hello everyone! I made these portraits for the Deep Forest mod to match nyapu's portrait style!
Currently the files are replacement versions until I can figure out how to locate specific files.
📥 Installation instructions
- **Manually Download Files** - Using Stardrop or other mod installers (such as Mod Organizer) will not work properly
- **(Optional) Back up the original portrait files** - If you're worried about the files being loaded but don't want to lose them on your computer, I recommend naming the folder ._Original Portraits so the game doesn't load those files!
- **Extract and Replace** - Unzip the file and replace the file where the Deep Forest module is located. Click Accept when asked whether to replace the file.

**NOTE:** This mod is currently in Alpha testing, as updates come in and my skills improve, these portraits will likely change!
Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
- Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.
Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
