🎯 Function Description
These cute mouse friends will appear in the forest after you receive a letter announcing the opening of the hat shop. After you meet all the mice for the first time, two will randomly appear in the forest every day (weather permitting)!
🔧Latest update
- Now requires **Button's Extra Trigger Action Stuff** mod support
- Added alternative portrait configuration options based on Nyapu style
- You can set your favorite mouse friend and it will appear every day when the weather is good
- Installing the **Trinket Tinker** mod and meeting certain conditions will summon the Hatsnatcher Cat, which fights, gives random hats, and comments on various rats
🎮Interaction with other modules
- **Hat Mouse and Friends** - If you install this mod, mice will acknowledge their presence in the hat shop
- **Secret Woods Snorlax** - Some rats will notice the Snorlax that replaced the log leading to the Secret Woods
📥 Installation Guide
- Make sure the **Content Patcher** module is installed
- Download the **Mouse Friends in the Forest** module
- Unzip the files into the game’s **Mods** folder
To uninstall the mod, simply delete the **Mouse Friends in the Forest** folder from the Mods folder
🔄 Compatibility
- Only applicable to **Stardew Valley 1.6** and above
- Tested for compatibility with **Stardew Valley Expansion**
- May not conflict with other mods that modify forest layout
⚠️ Known issues
When installed on an existing save, rat friends may behave strangely on the first day (such as being unable to interact or getting stuck in a tree). The issue should be resolved from the next day.

Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
- Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.
Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
