🎮 Core Concept
On Day 5 of the first summer, players are invited to purchase a newly cleared tract of land next to the highway. This land will become the base of a fully player-managed town, where you can:
- 🏗️ Build buildings using prefabs
- 👥 Recruit and manage a growing villager population
- 💼 Assign work and automate production chain
- 🍎 Fulfill town needs such as food, medical, entertainment and defense
- 🌟Create thriving new communities in remote locations
⚙️ System Overview
✅ Requirements and unlocking conditions
- Starting on the 5th of summer of Year 1
- 50,000g to buy new land
- After a 7-day clearing phase, the town can be reached via the bus network from Central Station
🔧 System to be implemented soon
- Disease and wound systems (treatment through clinic)
- Happiness system (affected by food, entertainment, medical care, safety, etc.)
- Guard patrol system (guards protect the town and escort miners)
🔄 Game Loop
- Purchase land after meeting the requirements
- Build the city hall and generate the first batch of villagers
- Build housing and functional buildings (farms, clinics, taverns, etc.)
- Assign jobs to villagers and observe them maintaining the town independently
- Expand production, manage resource chains, and maintain happiness and safety
- Create a prosperous second economy parallel to the farm
👨🌾 Villager roles and automation
Each building type corresponds to a job role. Once assigned, villagers will automatically perform the duties associated with their building:
- **Water Carrier**: Provides water from wells to up to 10 villagers
- **Farmer**: take care of the greenhouse
- **Doctor**: heals wounds and restores villagers' health
🏘️ Initial building type
- **Town Hall** - must be built first, only one can be built, 2-3 villagers will be generated after completion
- **Huts** - Villagers are automatically assigned housing; vacant huts may attract new residents overnight
- **Villager Greenhouse** - Produces food for villagers, 4 different crops can be set
- **Clinic** - assign villagers to become doctors and treat injured villagers
- **Water Well** - Produces water for villagers (each well supplies up to 10 people)
📖 Story and Progress
On Day 5 of your first summer, Mayor Lewis personally visited your farm to share exciting news:
*"A huge tract of land just opened up next to the highway. I think you're the perfect person to make it a great place - come talk to me when you're ready."*
🚀 Progress steps
- Meet Mayor Lewis: He comes to the farm at dawn and offers to buy new land
- Purchase land: sign the title deed and wait for the 7 game days clearing period
- Unlock access: After 7 days, the bus stop appears permanently, and Mayor Lewis informs you that you can take the bus to the new town.
- Name your town: Name your settlement when you first arrive
- Meet the previous owner: Starts with a short tutorial explaining prefabricated buildings and villager management
- Return to see Mayor Lewis: he offers to be your "contractor", managing the construction like Robin did on the farm
- Build the Town Hall: Start town expansion and unlock all other buildings
- Build huts: Villagers need housing! One hut per villager!
- Build a greenhouse: Villagers need food! Build a greenhouse and choose available crops with seeds
- Build a well: Villagers need water, and one well …
Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
- Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.
Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
